Custom Modular Camp for Nansha-Zhongshan T3 Expressway Project Department

The Nansha-Zhongshan Expressway (Nanzhong Expressway) stretches 32.4 kilometers, a core transportation artery within the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area with total investment exceeding 20 billion RMB. Scheduled to fully connect with the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Link upon completion, this vital highway strengthens Guangzhou’s radiation capacity to surrounding cities and fuels urban renewal vitality across the Pearl River Delta.

The T3 bid project department’s modular camp is located in Zhongshan City. The construction contractor is a long-term cooperative client of GS Housing, who fully recognizes our reliable product quality, efficient production capacity and full-cycle after-sales service. After comprehensive comparison, the client selected GS Housing’s flat pack container houses and prefabricated KZ buildings for the whole-site temporary camp.

Faced with multiple construction challenges including large-scale KZ house installation, labor shortages amid epidemic prevention and glass factory shutdowns during the Spring Festival, our installation teams rushed to the site in three batches before the holiday. Crews worked overtime to finish all thermal break aluminum door & window installation by January 28. To guarantee the client’s tight construction schedule, our workers resumed construction on January 3 ahead of schedule, and the complete integrated camp was successfully handed over as scheduled.

The entire main camp building adopts high-end hidden-frame thermal break aluminum doors and windows, delivering excellent heat insulation, sound insulation and a sleek minimalist exterior consistent with the Greater Bay Area’s high-standard engineering aesthetic requirements.

All staff dormitories adopt tailor-made flat pack containers with optimized internal partitions. Single container units are split in the middle with dual-side doors, realizing independent single rooms to fully protect staff privacy and daily comfort. Key management dormitories are upgraded with integrated en-suite bathrooms, and standard single doors are replaced with wider mother-child composite doors for better accessibility.

The container frame is customized to dark gray with stable, sophisticated visual effects. The surface adopts graphene powder electrostatic spraying technology, featuring eco-friendly raw materials, superior coastal corrosion resistance and long-term anti-fading performance, perfectly adapting to Guangdong’s humid marine climate.

The client set strict requirements for overall camp appearance. Standard stainless steel stair railings are fully replaced with transparent tempered glass guardrails, greatly elevating the texture of walkways, stairwells and small outdoor terraces with refined detail craftsmanship. All dormitory outer corridors are equipped with integrated rain shelters to provide shade and rain protection for daily passage and rest. Parallel double stair modules are arranged neatly to form tidy, unobstructed circulation lines across the accommodation zone.
