The Jilin High-tech South District Makeshift Hospital was built as an emergency response project during the COVID-19 prevention and control period.

The construction site faced difficult weather conditions, including heavy snow. At the same time, dozens of construction vehicles operated continuously across the site to support ground preparation, material handling, and installation work.

On the afternoon of March 12, the construction team entered the site and began land leveling. After 36 hours of site preparation, the project moved into the flat packed container house installation stage. The installation work was completed within 5 days.

1. 36-Hour Site Leveling

Before modular installation, the construction team first carried out large-scale site leveling. This stage started on the afternoon of March 12 and was completed after 36 hours.

The fast completion of site preparation created the basic conditions for the following modular house installation work.

2. 5-Day Flat Packed Container House Installation

After site leveling, the project entered the modular installation stage.

Flat packed container houses were used as the main building units. The modular system allowed standard units to be transported to the site, positioned, assembled, and connected within a compressed schedule.

The installation was completed within 5 days.

3. 24-Hour Uninterrupted Construction

To meet the emergency construction schedule, more than 5,000 professionals of different types entered the site.

Construction was organized on a 24-hour basis, with personnel, vehicles, and equipment working continuously to support project progress.

4. Large-Scale Site Coordination

The project covered an area of 430,000 m², requiring coordination across ground leveling, material transportation, modular house installation, equipment scheduling, and on-site traffic flow.

Dozens of construction vehicles shuttled through the site during the construction period, supporting continuous operations in cold and snowy weather conditions.
