Modular Camp for Xiongan New Area Intercity Railway

The intercity railway within Xiongan New Area is a pivotal national transportation infrastructure project, supporting the overall urban framework construction of the new national strategic city. This project is undertaken by China Railway No.9 Bureau Group Co., Ltd. To match the rapid construction schedule and standardized site management requirements, GS Housing delivered a full set of integrated temporary camp solutions composed of flat pack detachable modular container houses.

The whole camp adopts clear functional partition planning, realizing independent separation of three core functional blocks to avoid mutual interference and improve the overall operation efficiency of the construction site:

• Independent dormitory zone, independent office zone and on-site operation zone are laid out separately with clear boundaries, which effectively isolates construction noise and realizes complete separation of work and rest.
• Office spaces are separated from public walkways via independent partition design, eliminating pedestrian flow disturbance and creating quiet, focused working conditions for on-site managers.

1. Special Dedicated Clothes Drying Area

A fixed centralized drying space is specially set up in the dormitory zone, which standardizes workers’ daily laundry and drying behaviors, avoids random hanging clothes to affect the neat appearance of the camp, and maintains a tidy and orderly living environment all year round.

2. Independent Separate Staff Canteen

The camp is equipped with an independent enclosed modular canteen building to uniformly solve the catering demand of all construction personnel. Independent dining space facilitates centralized food management, effectively guarantees food hygiene and staff health, and meets strict on-site epidemic prevention and control safety standards during the construction period.

The modular camp fully adopts modern new energy-saving building materials and intelligent supporting control systems, fully highlighting the core advantages of prefabricated buildings: environmental protection, low carbon, safety and high construction efficiency. All container units are fully prefabricated in the factory, generating almost zero construction waste during on-site assembly, and can be completely disassembled, transported and reused after the railway project is completed, which is highly consistent with Xiongan New Area’s sustainable green construction concept.
