From Metro Construction Requirements to a Site Accommodation Solution<\/b><\/strong><\/h2>\n

A two-storey modular site office was configured for project management and engineering teams\u2014the same office-focused approach used in GS Housing’s Mali project, where 130 units formed a dedicated modular site office<\/b><\/strong> <\/a>for an overseas project team. Single-storey accommodation blocks served construction personnel, and shared outdoor space including a basketball court provided recreation for workers living on site.<\/p>\n

This approach meant the project did not need to source offices and accommodation separately. The same modular building system was used across the facility, while the layout and configuration were adapted to the project’s workforce and site conditions.<\/p>\n

The 132 units for the Chile metro project were factory-prefabricated before delivery. The main building components\u2014structural frames, wall panels, roofing, windows and doors\u2014were produced and inspected in the factory before being transported to the project location for assembly.<\/p>\n

For an infrastructure project with a defined timeline, this allows building production to progress alongside site preparation rather than waiting for all site work to finish. The units can be manufactured while foundations and access areas are being prepared.
